Weekend Snapshots and a Deep Thought

Weekend Snapshots and a Deep Thought

Good morning!

How was your weekend?

We’re playing catch up today on pretty much everything, so this will be quick.

Like, really quick.

My friend Erin and I ran the Del Mar Athleta Iron Girl 10K yesterday.

I’m sure you can tell we were in full race mode. We were in it to win it. Ha ha.

We actually just took it really slow and chatted the whole time and enjoyed the little after party

complete with cookies to decorate.

It was a blast.

Let’s see.

This was also created over the weekend.

Oh yes. I created a no grain blueberry tart recipe that I’m posting tomorrow and decided to top it with a strawberry cheesecake Quest Bar. Pretty darn good idea.

We celebrated Papap’s birthday.

Aren’t family birthday gatherings the best?

And yes, there were A LOT of candles on there.

Today’s Dad’s real birthday.

Too bad he doesn’t read the blog, but how funny is this old picture?

And well, since he doesn’t read this, I’ll take it upon myself to share this cute picture too. He he.

That’s a golf ball retriever in case you’re wondering.

STUFT Daddy worked hard on getting our new little family addition together.

I can’t wait to get on that thing and tell you all about it!

Oh and yeah, gotta love the dog bootie photo bombs.

I wasn’t feeling too hot yesterday, so didn’t really get a good post ready for you all.

But I did make time to watch a little Beaker

and get a few snuggles.

By the way, Judah is showing you he’s a leader. (He wanted me to tell you that.)

We’re getting a slow start today, but I read the coolest reading in Jesus Calling this morning.

2013-12-09 06.39.36

Pretty cool, huh?

I always like the risk-free living, but we’re made to do more, yes?

Maybe we should all take a risk together.

I’ll be back with more holiday giveaways. I promise I have some good ones lined up this week. They’re coming friends.

And one more thought to leave you with from Runner’s World….

Just go. Whatever it is you want to do, just do it.

Deep thought for the morning:

If you could take a risk in life right now and go for something, what would it be?

If you’re not in the deep thought mood:

What was the highlight of your weekend?

My husband and I are taking a huge risk by quitting our jobs and buying one-way tickets to Europe early next year! It’s scary, but it’s true: just go. That’s our motto currently!

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Since I lost my jog in August I have really struggled trying to figure out what i can do with my life. Of course, there are financial reasons without having a job but I really want to find my purpose and what I love! I don’t know what that is yet, and that has always been a struggle. I love fitness and running but i don’t know how to make a career out of it….maybe I’ll figure it out one of these days 🙂

My risk is not really a risk ….. I would like to just go some where literally….its -20 degrees below windshield here in MN and its not fun for this NON-Winter fan….so I really just want to jump on a plane and go somewhere HOT…..to do nothing more than sit by a pool and drink something with an umbrella in it. 😉

    Is that risky enough? ha!

I hope you’re feeling better today friend. I gotta tell you, if I could pick up and do anything risk free, it would be move to your side of the country. I’m in the wrong place, I know I am, but I can’t really do anything about it now. Tony’s work is all in California and being there would be so much better, but it would be a HUGE risk and well, you know, I’m not great at taking risks…

I keep telling my husband that we should take a risk and move to Hawaii – he hasn’t bought in yet. Maybe one day!!!
I hope you are feeling better today!

I would quit my job and my husband and I would move to the coast! But until then…

The most exciting thing about my weekend was having a nice long FaceChat with my brother and his wife who live way too far away.

I would give up my 9-5 desk job and get certified a personal trainer, maybe start blogging more but I don’t know how that would all work.

I LOVE THE PICS!! You know I love all your family pics – so LIFE! 🙂

I have tried a few things thru life & they kinda set me way back – it is hard to recoup mentally from that but I know what I would do but just can’t afford to do it right now – I still need to pay bills unfortunately.. 🙂
