I fit in an early morning 10 miles on the treadmill this morning. It really wasn’t my plan, but went to bed early last night and just woke up grateful for having people already sign up to virtually run the STUFT 60 Challenge with me so added a few gratitude miles so I’m not crawling too slow when I actually do the run. Ha ha.
I started watching Can’t Buy Me Love during my run.
I don’t know about you, but when I was in high school I watched this movie at least once a week and I really wanted to be Cindy Mancinni. I tried to make my hair look like hers for a bit, but it just wasn’t the same.
The best quote of the movie by good old Ronald Miller- “You can do anything you want, anything you put your heart and your mind in to.”
Why yes, yes you can.
I’m not sure what shoes I’m racing in Sunday. I’ve never ran a full marathon in the Sayonaras, only the Elixirs (which have been discontinued), but I might try it out. We shall see.
Check out these babies.
Not only are these on sale, but they actually have a sale on all neon dots AND solid black socks and sleeves…plus they pay for shipping!
Use code NEON when placing your order for 40% off.
Oh and Pro Compression is giving away a couple of pairs of socks to some randomly chosen winners who are running the STUFT 60 Challenge virtual race. Fun, right? I’ll update the page soon with more details and other goodies we’ll be giving away, but just thought I’d give you a head’s up.
Last night I let the boys buy whistles at Target. I regretted my decision about 30 seconds after I opened the packages in the car.
That is until I got home and was making dinner and listening to the play school in the other room. “Miss Judah” and “Miss Joaquin” (yes, that’s what they were calling themselves) really made sure all the stuffed animals stayed in line.
It was one of those moments when I just had to stop and smile and count my blessings. They don’t play together that well all the time, but it was such a gift to just listen to them. Ever have moments like like?
Funny too that while we were at Target I fell in love with the canvas.
So perfect, right?
I’ve been getting my carb loading on early. I really don’t think you need to do it until a couple days before the race, but I always start a couple days early. Ha ha.
Cassava “fries” and guacamole for the second night in a row with a shredded chicken taco salad.
Oh, I almost forgot, the other day at the gym they had some free magazines up for grabs.
Not just one
but two different ones.
Okay, so I have a little giveaway for you today.
I’ve been seeing Core Power around at races a lot lately. Most recently they were at the San Diego Holiday Half Marathon.
Core Power is now available nationally and was recently named the “Official Protein Drink of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.”
Core Power is the real-milk based sports recovery drink and contains natural whey and casein proteins found in milk – never removed from their original liquid state. The brand features simple ingredients and great taste, without a chalky texture.
In full disclosure I have not had a full drink all to myself, however I did try a few samples and it is darn tasty. They have both regular and light flavors.
Core Power is giving away a full Core Power Fit-Kit. I got sent one too.
Here’s what you get:
- a really cool duffle bag
- yoga mat with carrying case
- stability ball with pump
- towel and water bottle
- samples of Core Power
Pretty cool kit huh?
