Taking a Night and a Day Ya’ll

I need a day. A full day. Well and tonight I guess too.

I have quite a bit to get together for the STUFT 60 Challenge. I’ve got some prizes lined up for people who are donating and/or are registering and joining me on the run next Friday (or next weekend). For those of you who have already signed up I know shirts are on the way and I’ll be emailing you shortly.

But….

Holy smokes I still have A LOT of other things to figure out. Yikes.

So, I’m taking a day to breathe and figure things out. Everyone needs one of those sometimes, yes?

Not to mention a game of Candyland just started in the next room and I’m NOT missing out on that.

No way.

So, just a couple of things that I came across while I was doing some computer work today that I thought you might want to know about.

Handful now has a blue bra. How awesome is that?

Yep, totally want one.

I also found where you can make a cool pace wristband creator from Runner’s World for your next race. I will NOT be pacing my next race, basically just trying to survive, but I love that you can make your own bracelet here with whatever your goal finish time is.

And….

Check this out. Amazon used some silly running mama’s picture on their Facebook page to show how cool the Mizuno Wave Inspire 10s are.

I wish I could get Amazon spending money or something in return. Then I can get that spiralizer I’ve been wanting. Ha.

And, I’m off.

Taking a night and a day.

You know who else might need one?

This guy.

Ha ha.

Have a great night!

Do you ever feel like you just need to take a day? Do you let yourself take one?

Ummm…..yes, there are definitely times that I need a day but I’m afraid it would turn into a week or month and I’m holding out for a day (or more) at the beach!!! Enjoy Candy Land!!! (not gonna lie – don’t miss that game!)

Completely understand! Sometimes you just need a day to regroup, catch up, and get in the right set of mind. Enjoy your break :)

Oh heck ya! Sometimes I let myself have a day/night, and sometimes not…Sometimes when I DO take one, I feel guilty and then have to “make up” for it later on, but I’ve been trying really hard lately to take the day when I need it and NOT feel guilty. Good for you! No regrets! :)

YES! And I think its healthy that you know that you need a night… and a day for you! Especially to step away from blogging. I have already found that this thing can be addicting and you have to know when to unplug (:

Absolutely! Every so often I need what I call a “selfish Saturday” where I turn my phone off, stay off the internet and just enjoy the peace and quiet!

Oh yes sometimes I need a day! I took one Monday. I was so incredibly happy that I had the day off from work and my Girlie had the day off from school. We snuggled and watched a movie and played a whole bunch of board games, including Candyland:-)

Not related to this post necessarily, I was re-reading your last three years of the marathon you just run. All I can say is WOW to how fast you got over the years. I know one was at the one year mark of having kids, but when you compare that to the next few years, it just amazes me! Makes me think that maybe I can actually run a much faster marathon, I just need to give it some time post baby!

Enjoy your time off – everyone needs that!!

Yes! I took a “mental health” evening last week which for me involved catching-up on laundry and housecleaning. If my house is a mess, my life (and my head) usually feels a mess. A day to reset is a good thing, not guilt necessary!
