His and Hers Apera Bag Reviews and Giveaway

His and Hers Apera Bag Reviews and Giveaway

Well hello.

I’m going to get right down to business because I’ve been meaning to tell you about these awesome new bags we have here for over a month now. Not anymore, especially because you can win a bag of your own and I really need to pass that information along.

Warning though, my next post might have a little STUFT family overload since we had a pretty awesome fun-filled day today.

So, the wonderful people over at Apera Bags sent us a couple bags to review.

I’m not even going to tell you how old Andrew’s backpack was he was using prior to this. It was one of those Costco ones and had at least one broken zipper. Yeah, pretty classy. Ha.

Well, he has stepped up big time with the new Apera Tech Pack.

It’s pretty much the coolest backpack he’s ever had and the coolest backpack I’ve ever seen. His one request was that it had water bottle holders and a couple different compartments.

Check and check.

Right? I was getting so darn excited when I was taking pictures of this gem. There are so many different cool storage compartments.

Another really great reason I love the Apera bags is the antimicrobial product protection. Let’s be honest, we need that around here.

The backpack also has a washable bag inside to keep dirty clothes separate. Not that the boys ever get their clothes dirty or that Andrew keeps dirty work socks in his bag for a couple days or anything.

Here are just a few product specifics.

Here’s a full description.

The Apera Tech Pack is the versatile, do-whatever-you-need-it-to backpack.
The Apera Tech Pack is the world’s most versatile backpack – for business, sport, travel, or however you need to use it. There’s no other bag like it.
This bag adapts – easily transitioning from the meeting room to the gym to your next business trip. While simultaneously carrying all of the items you need.
The most amazing feature is the two enormous pockets on the front for shoes – you (or others) won’t even notice they’re in there. The immense interior storage capacity holds a change of clothes and a set of your workout gear. Your laptop and tablet are protected in two separate padded pockets. For travelers, there’s a pass through area for securing it to your rolling suitcase handle.
Like all Apera bags, they’re healthy – antimicrobial product protection (to resist bacterial odor), vented pockets, wipeable linings and a separate washable insert.
Your sport bag has evolved. And it means business..

So yes, this back pack can easily be an everyday backpack or for traveling or whatever. It’s that versatile. Andrew uses it as his everyday bag for work and taking the boys places, etc. Thought I’d show you a picture of it in use from our little outing today.

Ha ha. Oh and don’t mind the chocolate on Joaquin’s arm.

I was sent the Performance Duffel from Apera. They have other colors to choose from, but I chose blue.

Beautiful, yes?

Before this bag, I had about 3 different bags I would always switch around for the gym, play dates, running errands, etc. And when I did that, I usually never had what I needed in the right bag at the right time.

Whelp, problem solved. I’ve got an all-in-one amazing bag with so many different features and compartments. I don’t know why, but I love having separate pockets for just about everything. Everything needs a home right?

This bag has it all. Two small padded pockets on the top (I’ve been putting my Halo hair bands in there, my keys and my phone for easy access.)

It has a front pocket for snacks and chia shots and such

and a larger pouch on the back (I’ve got a couple notebooks in there at the moment).

There are additional zippered pockets in the inside. Oh and this bag is roomy. I mean, I fit a lot in there. Towels, extra clothes, Action Wipes, etc.

It also has the antimicrobial product protection both inside and outside as do their other bags.

There are separate zippered pockets on each side for shoes or other gear. I use them for shoes. They come in very handy on days when I teach a few different classes and need my spin shoes and then either my running shoes or cross trainers (or slippers) in there.

Here’s the description for my bag from their website:

The Apera Performance Duffel does not look like your ordinary gym duffel bag. Its refined look was designed with a purpose – to carry an abundance of your gear in a stylish and organized manner.
Like every Apera bag, it includes antimicrobial product protection inside and outside. Ventilated compartments, a water resistant base and wipeable linings keep your bag clean, dry and healthy.
It supports a variety of uses, too – for the gym, activities, or as a weekend travel bag (that fits smoothly in overhead bins or under the seat). Just to name a few.
Pack a pair of shoes (up to a men’s 11 1/2 size) in each of the two side shoe/storage compartments. And these pockets are intelligently separated from the interior storage area.
Marvel at the deep, spacious interior of the Performance Duffel. You can carry an unbelievable amount of clothes and gear in this bag. And with light-colored linings, you’ll find anything and everything quickly.

They aren’t kidding when they say you can carry an unbelievable amount of clothes in this bag. I had mine packed to the brim for the STUFT 60 Challenge the other week.

2014-01-31 12.14.59IMG_2577

Oh heck yes. I’ll try to get a couple more pictures of my bag in action in my everyday use, but right now it’s not very photogenic sitting on the fireplace with some gym gear after two days of teaching classes.

I really love this bag though. It’s the fanciest bag I’ve ever used and I feel pretty darn cool carrying it around.

So, let’s see, a couple of things you need to know.

They are offering 40% OFF their entire Blue line of bags.  Any style of bag, including the one like I have, is 40% OFF. And….. all the Duffel Packs, any color, are 40% OFF too.

In addition to the great 40% discount, you can also enter to win the Apera Yoga Tote in the color of your choice from their website. They have a different giveaway every month. How cool is that?

Here is the one for February- Apera Yoga Tote Giveaway

One last thing.

In addition to that giveaway, someone will win an Apera Sprint Pack here on the blog.

The Sprint Pack is the same bag we donate to Special Olympics athletes for every three bags we sell. Now this cool, inspired bag can be yours to further underscore your support and awareness of Special Olympics in our communities.
It’s perfect for packing a few items for a trip to the gym, to the park, or wherever you go. Inside, there’s a panel that divides the main compartment and keeps things organized in two separate areas. There’s also a large zippered pocket on the front of the bag that gives you even more storage.
A large opening allows you to pack your stuff quickly, then cinched closed easily via the two shoulder straps. Two vented areas on each side of the lightweight bag allows interior contents to breathe. There’s even a loop at the top of the bag so it can hang in your locker or wherever you need it to be.
For easy cleaning, wipe by hand with soap and water.

Yep. Pretty cool.

All you have to do to enter to wine the Sprint Pack is leave a comment here telling me one specific thing you look for in a bag or backpack. (I always want as many pockets as possible, a water bottle holder and lots of room in the main compartment.)

Or just tell me if you prefer to use a tote bag or backpack.

Feel free to tweet about the giveaway for an extra entry.

I want to win an @aperabags Sprint Pack from @stuftmama  http://stuftmama.com/2014/02/19/his-and-hers-apera-bag-reviews-and-giveaway/

Just make sure to come back and leave an additional comment letting me know.

That’s all! Yay!

*Giveaway will be open until Saturday night, February 22nd at 8:00 pm PST. Winner will be announced here on the blog Sunday.
