Yep. We went all out for date night last night.
Thank you Trader Joe’s.
I even dressed up for the occasion.
Random, but those glasses are about 5 years old. I haven’t been to the eye doctor since before the boys were born and can’t see worth beans far away. I really should do something about that.
Definitely did NOT need glasses this morning when I woke up to this.
The boys were with me too. We had some serious “huggle” time. Just in case you’re not familiar with the term, a huggle is the combination of a hug and snuggle. You might want to try it.
You might also want to thank me for the next picture.
Kitty occasionally coughs up “air balls”. You think he’s going to cough up a hairball, but then nothing comes out. It’s quite the process though.
I went for my last long run this morning before SUJA Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon. Tomorrow’s post is all about tips to survive the long run though, so I’ll save all the running chat for later.
I will show you my favorite snack after my run though.
I had the same scramble as yesterday first. Oh, and my instagram friend asked how many eggs I use. It depends actually. I still buy my huge jugs of egg whites and if I’m using those I usually do a full cup of egg whites.
I also had an iced version of the new unsweetened mocha. Yep, those are frozen coffee bean shaped cubes. Leftover coffee frozen in to cute cubes. You should try it.
All you need is the cool beans ice cube tray.
Oh and that five dollars. Well, that was for yet another outdoor show.
The show and the snack were just marvelous.
Since it’s Sunday and I’ve been all about the inspirational music lately I thought I’d share these two songs.
This one is from my friend The Silent Assassin. (Don’t be scared by his name.)
And this one is one I have on my running playlist. It never gets old. I hadn’t seen the video until just now, but it’s fun too.
Well shoot, I guess you can only watch it on YouTube by clicking above, but it’s worth it. Love the message. Do everything to the glory of the One who made you.
I was thinking that a lot today on my run. If it’s not bringing a smile to His face or if it’s not something that he made me to do, I really shouldn’t be doing it or stressing out about doing it.
I just need to focus on doing the things that matter. Even the small things. And the rest that just makes life busy, but doesn’t make Him smile, well, those things can be set aside.
Those are my deep thoughts for the day.
And with those, I’m off.
Hopefully to bring a smile to His face and to the face of my sweet men I have here.
See you early tomorrow with some tips on surviving long runs. Not that I’m an expert, but I have a few thoughts to share.
Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
Huggles from us to you!
