Not Much to Say

It’s so weird. I usually have a million and one things I want to talk about and write about on here. Then I have to talk myself out of writing over half the things I want to just unload on you. But today is different. Today I just don’t have much. I don’t even know why. Maybe it’s just your lucky day. Ha ha.

Yesterday in addition to the morning run, I taught a few classes throughout the day. I did the whole spinning in a skirt thing, which really upsets Joaquin for some reason.

This morning it was a little tough getting motivated. I was definitely stalling before starting my run.

But once I got started and had The Mindy Project to entertain me I was fine.

Steady pace for eight and a half miles. I’ll take it.

As soon as I was finished I was rewarded with a dollar that I am supposed to use to go to the bank.

I read this yesterday because it was on the wall outside of the studio when I was waiting to teach my class.

Running can decrease the risk of developing osteoarthritis in the hip and the need for a hip replacement? That is great news. Just another reason to lace up and get outside for a walk or a run.

I also read this last night that I loved. Obviously we’re going to get older and slow down and our bodies aren’t going to be able to do what they once did, but we can grow stronger on the inside as this happens.

Right?

For your random pictures of the day I give you these.

An egg white breakfast taco with spinach, Trader Joe’s goat cheese cream cheese and chili apricot jam.

The easiest no grain microwave muffin has returned. I just whipped this one up.

It’s not very pretty, but it took less than five minutes to make. Now I just have to figure out what I want to put on top of it.

The animal photo of the day is a bearded dragon.

No, it’s not ours, but the boys were helping Daddy with some work yesterday and were really excited about this guy. They better not come home with one. Ha.

Random, but I need to go to Costco in the worst way because we’re almost out of so many things (paper towels, toilet paper, milk, laundry detergent, etc.), but I’m avoiding it. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with that place. I may have to buckle up though and go for it today.

Whelp, that’s it for now. I’ll be back later with another giveaway for you. Heck yes, I may not have a lot to say this week, but I have some fun things to give away.

If you haven’t entered the CocoaVia GIVEAWAY yet, you can enter HERE.

Have a good one!

My husband and I quit Costco years ago because when our kids were babies, going there on the weekends felt like it was ruining our lives! I don’t have the temperament for that place!

I plan to run as long as my body will allow, though I’ve learned that I have to be good to my body if I want it to be good to me. A humbling experience, but one that has ultimately made me a stronger and wiser runner.

Aging is such a tough topic for so many reasons, control being a big one.

You’re sons are so sweet 🙂

That’s great news about the reduction in risk of developing OA with running! Gotta love that 🙂

Well I love the skirt, especially the animal print. I have several running skirts and love them.

My daily devotion reading was somewhat similar, Living Triumphantly was the title, and about the fact that God chooses those with weakness and failures as servants since we are more teachable. Good stuff.

That skirt is the cutest one I’ve ever seen!

I also have a love/hate thing with Costco. And I’ve been putting off going for two weeks, but now I have to go. We are out of everything….eggs, milk, ALL meats, bread, toilet paper, paper towels, etc, etc. I’m dreading going cause I know it’s going to cost like $400-500 to replenish everything! 🙁

Wow how can you cycle in a skirt?! I can’t even go on my turbo trainer with lightly padded shorts! Please tell me you get used to it! Haha 🙂
