A Cool New Way to Learn and Play- Osmo GIVEAWAY

Why do the work weeks seem so long and then the weekends seem so short? I really wish it was the other way around. Wouldn’t that be awesome?

Not much workout chat at the moment as I’m headed off to bed to tackle the week the right way tomorrow morning, but I have something really fun to give away.

Our rainy Sunday was all about staying in pajamas as long as possible and playing all the games we could find. We finally got a chance to open this cool learning toy.

IMG_5056

It’s called Osmo and it’s basically an add-on to an iPad (or iPad mini) that allows kids to play games that involve learning words, playing with tangrams, and a fun math-like drawing game called Newton.

The kit comes with the everything including the base that you need to set up your iPad as the screen.

IMG_5061IMG_5058

It also comes with the pieces that you need for two of the learning games.

IMG_5059IMG_5060IMG_5063

The boys and I figured out the set up and everything pretty quickly so you know it wasn’t complicated. Ha.

IMG_5065

You can see the video on how the game works on the website here.

We played the Tangram game first and were doubting that the little mirror set up would be able to see what we were doing, but it sure proved us wrong.

IMG_5067IMG_5068

Yes, that little tiny red mirror on the top can see what you’re doing so the whole thing and all the games are interactive. How cool is that?

My favorite was the words game. There are different levels, but the boys were just right for the first one.

IMG_5069

I’ll see if you can figure this one out.

IMG_5071

Ha. Okay, maybe this one then.

IMG_5072

I love that it came with two sets of letters so there was no fighting between the two boys.

IMG_5073

They did get a little bit of help though from Mowgli.

The other game, Newton, is a drawing game and you try to make a path to get the balls to hit the target. That was a little more complicated for us. (Yes, all of us.)

Anyhoo…..

The awesome people at Osmo want one of you to get your hands on one of these cool gadgets for some fun family learning.

Here’s everything that the lucky winner will receive.

I forgot to mention that you get everything you need for the three interactive learning games and then you download the games free on AppStore. The retail of this whole set up is $79.99 and you can purchase it directly from the Osmo website.

All you have to do to enter to win one of these is leave me a comment here telling me what your favorite family game is to play with your kids. Learning or not. We’re not here to judge. Ha.

By the way the other game we’ve been playing non-stop today has been UNO Choo-Choo. It’s a fun one.

Smile

Giveaway will be open until Thursday, January 15th 11;59 pm PST. Winner will be randomly chosen and announced here on the blog Friday. Open to US residents only.

I was not compensated for this post, but I was sent the Osmo package to review.
