We Love Sleep and Dressing It Up

We Love Sleep and Dressing It Up

Our plan for the weekend looked a little like this.

2015-01-23 06.56.23

I’m going to say we’ve been pretty successful with our plans.

I did a home circuit workout yesterday with a mix of HIIT moves on the BOSU at 1 minute interval sets and resistance training. I didn’t have a set plan, but just made sure I got a good sweat and hit all my major muscle groups.

Friday night we got into that new wine I found at Costco.

I finally put my Christmas present form my brother to good use too. Ha.

The wine was good. I think I actually like the regular Menage a Trois better though.

Once every other month or so I wear jeans and something other than Mizuno shoes. Yesterday was the special day.

It felt so weird.

Oh and the boys wanted to show you how to properly sport pajamas.

Our basic rule is to just not match. Ha ha.

The boys had been planning a sleepover in their room all week. They invited your truly and the cats.

2015-01-24 21.28.15

We all showed up and we all slept in a full size bed.

Daddy got the king size bed to himself all night. Lucky guy.

We got a really awesome shipment from Frieda’s the other day that included Baby Bok Choy, Opo Squash, Purple Snow Peas and Asian Pears.

I’m going to whip up a little stir fry tonight or try roasting that Bok Choy. We’ll see. If you have any ideas feel free to send them along. I’m not as creative these days. Ha.

And with that we’re off to make the best of this Sunday! Have a good one!

Any ideas what to do with Bok Choy?

What do sleepovers look like at your house?

I know you love salads and I just use baby bok choy in mine–leaves and white part. Add some Asian pear, chicken, and sesame dressing!

I don’t think I have seen purple snow peas before!

bok choy cooks very fast, I usually just stir fry briefly, or it turns mushy and I like it crisp, the stem anyway, the green tops just wilt down.

Looks like you all had fun! That’s about what sleep overs look like here….

I only wish my sleepovers were that cute. 🙂 We got unseasonably warm weather up here in the Seattle area. Even I hiked on a weekend which I almost never do with the crowds. They were bad today, but worth it to hike warm and not in the downpour. I love Sundays…except for the being the day before Monday part.

Sleep-overs in our house don’t include me – I have enough sleep issues without trying to sleep near the boys!!
I’ve only used Bokchoy once (in a soup) so I don’t have any advice!
