First, let me start with a confession.
I’m awful at volleyball. Actually, I’m really not that great at basketball either. Wait, I’m just not that great at a lot of things which is why running seems (or seemed) to workout so well with me because you just run. It doesn’t matter if you’re good or not, you just get your butt out there and do it.
Oh heck yes. They are so comfortable. Comfortable for work, running errands, doing some cleaning cardio and even for this quick upper body workout that you can do anywhere.
It’s hard as a runner (or a mom, or a full time working adult, etc.) to find time to get extra resistance training in but really it’s so important. Not only for functional movement and core strength, but as runners it can really help with performance, endurance, posture, running efficiency, fighting off fatigue, etc.
Here are my top go to moves to hit all the major muscle groups in the upper body. All you need is a resistance band.
I took some pictures of some of the moves for you.
There are a couple more I added since I’m always adding things in last minute. That’s just what I do.
Here’s the workout.
Here’s a random video I decided to shoot at the last minute with a little better demonstration and explanation of the moves. You know, just in case you want to feel like we’re working out together for a couple minutes.
Yes, I am aware my head is cut off at the beginning, but hey, at this point I’m not about to video this again just so my face shoes. It’s probably better with it cut off anyway. Ha ha.
Here you go. Let me know if you try any of the moves!
Before I go I need to tell you about one more thing Mizuno is doing. They’re donating $10 to Back on My Feet for every pair of Mizuno shoes sold this month.
Isn’t that just so cool?
Two more days until Spring Break.
Let’s do this!
