We Survived and I Got a New Boston Bib

We Survived and I Got a New Boston Bib

We are just one heck of a traveling bunch. I mean we weren’t even out of town yet and we bumped into a celebrity.

Obviously we were dressed to impress for the red eye.

We made it with a few minutes of sleep each so we should be in tip top shape tomorrow. Ha.

The most wonderful friend ever picked us up in the early morning hours and took us all around sight seeing.

She even took us on a duck tour.

We even stayed in our pajamas because we’re classy like that. Ha.

This picture is for the boys, but I’ll share it with you. You’re welcome.

We caught a little glimpse of the BAA 5K. We quacked as they ran.

Since I’m running the marathon I even got to sign my name on the roof. Aren’t I special? Ha.

Our room wasn’t ready so we did our best to look presentable in the lobby bathroom before heading to the expo.

I warned Mom that it was going to be crazy. Last year we barely made it before it closed to get out race bibs and the expo was already shut down. This year was a bit different.

I got my bib first.

Then we took on the expo.

It was craziness. Lots of people. It seemed even crazier than the TCS New York City Marathon expo. I got to meet up with quite a few buddies though.

The awesome Irish Eyes and her sweet friend.

The fabulous Runner’s World and Zelle crew.

We had a fun little chat about how I used to be fast and how getting older and getting injured is for the birds.

Mom and I stuck together through the crowds and made all our important stops.

I didn’t get a picture, but I finally met the fabulous Nicole behind Skirt Sports and thanks to my extendo arm I got a picture of Katherine Switzer.

I stopped by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series booth and told them I was a tour pass holder so I could get my special gift. I got a cool hat and got to pose with my homeboys Meb and Kevin.

Is it me or is Meb just really small in person?

I was on the search for Auria because I have lost my little ear bud piece twice (both during marathon races). I love these earphones and needed a replacement. The owner Dave fitted me again and again told me I had very small ears that have some weird shape so it’s hard to find ear phones that fit.

$5 later I was set. They make my favorite all weather music belt that I’ll be wearing for the race Monday.

And speaking of Monday, it’s going to be here before we know it.

It won’t be my fastest, but heck yes it’s going to be the greatest.

This lady is the greatest too. I LOVE HER!

We’ve got big plans tonight. Catch ya tomorrow!
