B2B Challenge Complete For the Second Year in a Row

Hello!

We’re home safe and sound. A little under the weather, but the past 10 days have been a whirlwind so it’s not a huge surprise.

As much as I really, really, really want to write all about the Big Sur Marathon and recap every single thing, I just don’t have it in me at the moment.

To be honest I can barely keep my eyes open, am really going to focus on rest this week and I need to make sure everyone has clean clothes for school and work tomorrow.

But……

This weekend was a blast.

The race was super slow and I was tired already at about mile 6 which made for a very long morning. The amazing Emily stayed with me every single step of the way and kept telling me to “just enjoy it”. I can’t thank her enough.

I didn’t look at my GPS once which is a good thing because as Emily called it, we both got our own new PW (personal worst) marathon time.

I thought my PW was in Boston, but who knew, it was in Big Sur instead. Last year it was my PR, this year it was my PW. That’s life for ya.

Every single step was amazing and beautiful and particularly windy. In fact it kind of felt like we were running into headwind the entire time.

But……….

I had these guys all waiting at the finish line for me.

Okay so maybe Bart wasn’t there for just me, but he did comment when we took this picture that he wanted it for his Christmas card. Ha ha.

The boys LOVE him!

This amazing man was along for the ride too.

I am one lucky mama. I am so filled with gratitude for all the amazing family and friends that supported me along this journey. They should have just told me to give it a rest and move on, but those of them and you that have been a constant inspiration and support system for me. Well, I can’t thank YOU all enough.

Lots, lots, lots more to come, but it’s back to reality here and given as I’m not really up to par at the moment, we’re going to make rest, work and mama duties number one.

Race recap and all the fun you didn’t see coming up.

Smile

Hope your week is off to a great start!
