Random Thought and Just Treat Yourself More Often

 

I have only a couple random thoughts today because it’s just been super busy and I let’s be honest, I’m already counting down the days until summer break.

This morning’s run was not that exciting, but at least I finally got some miles under 8 minutes (not counting the frequent jumps off onto the side).

I didn’t really do it on purpose, I’m just really behind on laundry and could find any clean Pro Compression low trainer socks.

Speaking of Pro Compression, they have this awesome grab bag deal at the moment for three pairs of socks for $39. How awesome is that?

I randomly noticed this morning that my Wave Sayonara shoes have that stitching across the tongue to keep it in place.

See that there? I’m wondering if that’s a new thing or not. I better check my other shoes.

I’ve been making this random pumpkin chia protein muffin with Vega One protein powder. It doesn’t look that great and it’s a little messy to eat in the car, but it tastes good and a little NuttZo makes everything better.

Pretty much every single day I get into my car after work and have a pen or pencil in my hair. It’s there throughout the day, but then I always forget to take it out. I used to have a collection of them in the car. I think Mom once counted 25 in the old car. Now the collection is in my bathroom at home because I take the pens out when I wash my face.

Does anyone else do this?

Oh and by the way I really prefer black pens over blue ones, but that’s all I had close by today.

 

We enjoyed a family night last night watching Dancing With the Stars. I usually save treats for the weekend, but for some reason I felt like it was a special night or something. Actually, I’ve had this whole thing lately with treating myself more often. Life’s too short and sometimes you have to just treat yourself for no reason, right?

I had a big bowl of dessert, but my favorite part was the addition of rice cake, Quest Bar s’mores with SunButter.

All you have to do is microwave two marshmallows and a Quest Bar on parchment paper for 15- 20 seconds and then smash them between SunButter topped rice cakes. You’ve got to try it. Speaking of rice cakes, I’m fully restocked now thanks to the VItacost quick shipping.

    Are you doing sprints or intervals, is that why you are jumping off to the sides? What is your preferred interval length? And how is your hip, are you still pain free? I hope so. Wishing you happy, healthy running!

    I constantly have a pen in my hair. It once exploded and started leaking everywhere and my sweat little 4th grade girls spent forever tying to fix my poor pen coated hair.

    Your quest bar smore looks delicious. No I must say I have never put a pen in my hair. Good idea though, at least you always have something to write with…instead of scrambling around looking for a pen. XO
