VEGA Sport Performance Protein GIVEAWAY


Tomorrow’s Cyber Monday. If I was smart I’d be trying to find all the good deals, but it’s back to work for me so things are going to crazy town here for the next few weeks until winter break.

WE haven’t decorated for Christmas yet, but I did watch The Family Stone this morning and I’m guessing I’ll watch it at least 5 more times before Christmas. That movie and Love Actually are my favorites.

Today I ran 5 easy miles while watching the movie and then hopped on the spin bike for 25 minutes and did some ab work.

Oh and thanks to the cool Polar Flow app I checked out what my pace was for my faster miles during the long run yesterday since I didn’t pay attention then.


I ran miles 11-13 faster than I thought. I knew it wasn’t fun and figured I was in the 7:45 range, but it’s funny how if you just suck it up and go for it and make yourself work a little harder you realize you’re capable of more. I need to remind myself of that pretty much daily.


Last night was pretty awesome as we took a family trip to Sprouts and I bought a whole box of Frieda’s purple sweet potatoes. It wasn’t the first time, but I was pretty excited.

Tonight we went on a family bike ride and I got to ride this gem the hubby found for me. It’s okay to be jealous.

Heck yes that’s lots of rust and it has a kick stand. I think the seat makes up for it though.

All kidding aside, I’m very thankful for my bike and the fact that I can now ride with the family instead of having to run alongside them every time. My man is the best.


Okay, so let’s get to it.


Heck yes. I told you how obsessed I am about the new Vega Sport Performance Protein so I asked if we could give some away to you. What do you know, I get to do just that. Wahoo!

Level up your protein for next-level performance. Build and repair strong muscles, and reduce recovery time with Vega Sport Performance Protein. Each serving has 30 grams complete protein, 6 grams each BCAAs and glutamine, plus performance ingredients tart cherry, turmeric, and probiotics.

I’ve been using it daily to make protein ice cream.


Protein ice cream- 

Combine 2 cups of Silk almond milk (or milk of choice) with 1/8 teaspoon of salt and 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract (or other).

Pour into two ice cube trays and freeze.

When ready to make the ice cream, take out one tray of frozen cubes and add 1/2 cup of more milk of choice and a scoop of Vega Sport Performance Protein in a blender.

I use the vitamix so it blends really well, but takes a while. I’m not sure how great a different blender would work.

This is AMAZING though!

Yesterday I added 2 full cups of spinach to the blender when I made a chocolate version. The color wasn’t too flattering, but it was awesome.

    I have always used Vega complete nutritional shake in Vanilla as I can add different ingredients to it and create different flavors with one powder. I realized a long time before I knew I wanted to be dairy free and more plant based that whey protein powders upset my stomach too much, thus enter Vega in my life! I’ve always been curious to try their performance proteins.

    I love using protein powder in my morning smoothies! I add one scoop to almond milk, flax seeds, frozen berries, kale/spinach and half of an avocado. Delicious!!! Vega is awesome for anyone’s, especially someone following a plant based diet like me! 🙂
